Billing rules

How hours are counted
Time is logged against the service it belongs to and appears as its own invoice line: service, hours, rate. Meetings and coordination are billed as project management, not folded into development.
Who owns the result
You do. Source code, designs and documentation are yours once invoices for that work are settled — including the ability to take them to another supplier.
Estimates
Each phase begins with an estimated range and ends with a comparison against it. If the work is heading past the range, you hear about it in time to decide.
Payment
Invoiced by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice. Token orders are invoiced first and delivered once the transfer clears.

Is there a minimum engagement?
No monthly minimum and no retainer. Small, well-defined pieces of work are fine — what we ask for is a clear question, not a big budget.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, and it is the default position. Every client on this site is anonymous for exactly that reason.
Can you take over an existing system?
Yes, provided there is access to the source and the infrastructure. Takeovers begin with a short review phase so nobody promises anything before reading the code.
Do tokens get cheaper in bulk?
A token is $100, whether you buy one or fifty. The total is always the number of tokens times the rate.
What currency are invoices issued in?
USD, as published on this page. Payment is by bank transfer to the account named on the invoice.
